Hello.

I have returned from holiday and my once water damaged iPhone appears to have decided to come back to life. It shows the plug into iTunes logo on the screen when I plug it in, and iTunes tells me it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode, need to restore. The problem is, every time I try to, iTunes goes for about a minute and then says "Unknown error" with various different numbers, 9 or 22 sometimes, and won't let me do it. Could this be something to do with the water damage?

If I take it into an Apple store and try and get them to have a look at it, will they check for water damage, seeing as the problem apparently has nothing to do with it, or do they do that with every phone?

Thank you MacRumors.. :)
