I haven't seen any postings on this, anywhere. However, I accidentally stumbled upon this feature a couple of weeks ago (assuming it's been around since iOS 5 first released).

When you send an iMessage, if the 'Sending' bar goes away, but the iMessage you're sending doesn't say 'Delivered' under it: you can hold your finger on it to highlight it and you'll have the option to 'Send As Text Message'. It'll have a better chance of going thru that way.

I've never seen that because I've never tried but I have seen it when a message gets failed to be delivered and you get an exclamation mark.

iMessage has been so unreliable for sending pictures these days. I have to send it so many times until it actually gets delivered.

iMessage is a PITA!

It works fine for me for text but pictures are definitely a PITA.

I should be grateful then. It usually works flawlessly for me, but that kid I was having a convo with usually has problems.

I think everyone knows about the exclamation mark though.
