I have an icon that is just right of the time that has a lock in the center with a circle around it with an arrowpoint. Does anyone know what that is?

Orientation lock.

That's the rotation lock icon. Double click the home button then scroll the popup bar to the left then hit the same icon in the lower bar. It'll turn it off.

LOL--I just found this by accident. Apparently (at least for me) it is not too hard to turn it on by mistake if you start turning off open apps and hit the orientation lock by mistake. But I wonder why they didn't put this feature in settings.
