When i check istat under ethernet is says 9.05GB has been sent out. I dont upload anything yet its super high, how do i find out what this is and stop it?

So then what is actually happening?

it's call the internet! when you browse around/ having other stuff that connected online. It just simply download and upload even tho you didn't actually upload a real file! Like when I play Cod I get really bad lag due to my upload which is less than 1mbs. On the other hand I have 6mbs for download. So ppl think having a good connection is all about download!

Yes but cod is sending out information, ie your movements. Browsing the web for a few days uploads 9gb, i dont think its just random information because 9gb is a lot

Your worried more than you should be. Restart you Mac and it will reset the data usage. Then you can look at it daily to see how much data is being sent/received.
