Unlike PMG5 can you missmatch ram in iMac G5?

was wondering...

I know that the ram specs have to be the same in a PM, but does this still hold in the iMac?


I want to buy a gig chip for my imac g5 and have 1.5 gigs of ram...

Yes, you can mix and match although I do believe Bare Feats did a test and matched pairs provide slightly better performance.
