For the last two months something odd has happened to my wife's iPhone at some point. Some application goes off and uploads several GB of data; typically at night. Even though the phone is on WiFi, it does this via 3G. If I wasn't on an Unlimited data plan I'd be screwed with a capital F! I still have not figured out what is causing the problem, I thought it was the Garmen GPS app but that wasn't used in the last month, so I don't know what it is.

Is there any way to tell how much data a specific app used?

I use Onavo. It installs a profile within your iPhone which gives you reports of how much data you use. - But at the same time, it compresses your data usage too! Pretty sweet!

I saw it in the Top 25 one time. Let me know how you get on! :)

Thanks for the tip, I'll find it and install it on my wife's phone. Gotta see what's causing this.
