Ok, so I've been using the Verizon unlimited data sim in my iPad for a few days and I've noticed that the mobile hotspot feature is unlocked when using the cellular data. My current unlimited data plan does not include a mobile hotspot "feature" per say (I am not being charged for it) but since the unlimited data sim card is in the iPad, "Personal hotspot" is unlocked.

Has anyone been using their *free* "Personal Hotspot"?

its well known that verizon offers free hotspot, I dont understand what your point is?

My point is, I am not on the 'pay as you go' 1/2/5/10GB plan. I am using a unlimited data sim and am asking if anyone else using the unlimited data sim has been using the hotspot feature without problems from VZW.

Yes! Verizon is giving Free hotspot on their 4G LTE Tablet plans, including the iPad 3.

When you quoted me, did you read the part in bold? Or even the following sentence?

I am not on their "Tablet" plan.

Well my apologies to you, at least I provided you with the chance to chastise another forum member. :D
