Unlimited plan is still available

My 15y.o. brother got an iphone 3gs (upgrade from a free "dumb" phone) a week ago on my parents business account and initially had the 2 gig plan

My parents have had unlimited plans since 2008

My dad went to the ATT store and was abe to change my brother's plan to unlimited with the ATT rep as easy as pie apparently

I was surprised when he told me this as I thought there was no way this was possible

Depends on the rep you talk to.
But thats not the rule but the exception. They're not supposed to.
