My wife went into the ATT store a few days ago and bought a pay as you go phone as a temporary fix for not having the new iPhone. The manager guaranteed that it wouldn't change our plan at all. No contract etc.
Well it did. Last night when I ordered the iPhone, there was no way to keep my unlimited data plan.
I called today to make sure it was taken care of when they told me my unlimited data plan was removed a few days ago when I bought the pay as you go plan.
I threatened to cancel and switch and they promised they would add it back on when I received my phone next week.
Let this be a warning to all of you! Managers at ATT stores don't know jack. I'll never sell my iPhone before a new iPhone release again. Not worth the hassle or the risk or the couple extra bucks I will get for selling my phone early.
