Is there a way to "unlocked" the video feature on the 3.0 OS for the 3G phone... not just the 3GS? It seems like there is maybe just a line of code saying, don't show video on this phone because it's 3G and not 3GS?

sorry if this is a dumb assumption... i'm just curious?

thanks!!

Probably have to give it a while before this is figured out. Im guessing if the iPhone 3G uses the exact same software as the 3GS, there's gotta be a way to unlock the feature

Can you record video on current jailbreaks or is video on iPhone 3GS hardware specific?

Surely the only feature on the 3GS which couldn't be unlocked on the 3G is the compass?

I could record decent quality video on my jailbroken 3g. Maybe not as good as the 3GS but it's just a phone and if you want awesome quality you should probably use a camcorder.

you can with an app called cycorder, but it only does 15fps and doesn't look very good.
