Unlock iPhone 3G 4.2.1 help

Hey guys, has anyone recently tried to unlock their iphone 3g? I've spend hours following instructions unlocking via cydia and ultrasn0w but has failed. It doesn't give me any errors but when I put in a different company's sim it give me a sim card error. I don't know what I messed up on. Any tips guys?

Try factory unlock. If you PM me the IMEI, I will tell you what are the prices.
