Hi, i have iphone 3g 8gb, baseband 5.12.01 and OS 3.1.2 , how to unlock ?

i tried to used fuzzy band to downgrade the baseband from 5.12.01, but it says due boot loader version of 6.04 instead of 5.08 ?

please tell me how to unlock my iphone now ?

Sorry, you're out of luck. Fuzzyband only works with a very small number of iPhone 3G devices (I'm wanting to say the cutoff was like September '08) that have the 5.08 boot loader.

But I will say that Fuzzyband works as advertised. I just unlocked both mine and my wife's phone by first downgrading the bootloader using Fuzzyband. We lucked out though, since we got both of our 3G phones on launch day, so were well within the 5.08 bootloader window.
