Unlock iphone 4 problems

I mean unlocking
I have iphone 4
ios 5.1
and no original sim card
is there anyway to do it? I'm trying to unlock it using SAM but it's not working
Any ideas?
yup I did search and i seems SAM doesnt work.
Any ideas how can I unlock it?
I have the gevey card but I can't use it too!!

A complete noob here. I really just found out about this stuff, last week.
I have an iphone 4 (4.3.3)(04.10.01) In reading some of the forums out there, I had tried doing a jailbreak with redsn0w. However I couldn't get it to work for lack of files and knowledge. I finally decided to try jailbreakme, which worked.
In reading more today in these posts, that through Cydia, I have 5.1
Is this truly what I have? I can still see version 4.3.3 in the settings.
I have downloaded redsn0w's original 5.0.1 files as back up to my computer.
I am not too sure if I did the right thing going to jailbreakme. Can I reverse it, or change to 5.0.1? I have the phone backed up with I tunes, and have been back on itunes since the jailbreak with no problems.
I would like to ultimately put Siri on this phone as well.

ONLY if your have a current account OR purchased a commitment free iPhone from Apple, if you don't have an account with AT&T they will not unlock anymore, change in policy.

You have iOS 4.3.3 firmware on your phone.
All Cydia tels you is that you have the SHSH's/blobs for 5.1 saved.
You need SHSH's/blobs to upgrade to 5.0/5.01/5.1 firmwares as Apple is not signing those anymore, 5.1.1 you can upgrade now.
If you don't have SHSH's for 5.01 you cannot upgrade to 5.01 anymore.
With redsn0w you can upgrade to 5.1 using a custom made IPSW firmware file with your SHSH's stitched to it.
Siri is not an option on 4.3.3, it legally works on 5.01 but is not legal on 5.1 or 5.1.1 (Apple left the door open on 5.01

The jailbreak for 5.1.1 is only weeks away, just sit tight and keep checking this forum for a 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak. As soon as that is out upgrade to 5.1.1 and jailbeak your phone.
You can upgrade now and do an untethered Jailbreak for 5.1.1 but it will force you to have your phone connect to computer evertime you restart phone.
Just read up on Jailbreaking in this forum and you will learn soon enough.

When I originally backed up phone on itunes, did it save the original SHSH's/blobs that were there? Can I ever get them back? Will I ever be able to get to 5.0.1? I have the file from redsn0w, however I'm not sure about the SHSH/blobs.

no backup of the SHSH's are made in itunes, only in cydia and TinyUmbrella, if you don't have them you can't get them.
