I jailbroke it , but i was reading somewhere that by updating Iphone 4 to the Ipad firmware it downgrades modem firmware to a lower one that can be UNLOCKED!!!
RIGHT NOW I'M ON 3.10.01 AND ON 4.2.1 WHICH CAN NOT BE UNLOCKED !

There is just a load of confusion in this thread
First off, the tutorial given by trev was for Jailbreaking 4.2.1 not unlocking.

Second, there is no unlock for iphone 4 BB 2.10 and 3.10 at this time. The ipad BB method is for 3G/3GS.

Third, there is no "downgrading" modem firmware (yet..). Apparently its in the works.

Just sit tight, and at least do yourself a favor, and backup your SHSH with tiny umbrella.
