hello all,
i have iphone 4S from UK ( Orange) and i want to use that in US. is it possible to unlock ?
it has Version 6.1.3 and Modem Firmware is 04.12.05

its out of contract, and i called Orange customer sevice , they are asking 30 pound to unlock it.

please help..Thanks

If your carrier won't unlock it for free there isn't any other free option to unlock an iPhone. You can try looking around to see if there are still any places that sell unlocks, but I think all of those got shut down and anyway they wouldn't be much cheaper than just paying your carrier to do it.

The only other option I could think of is try to see if you can sell your iPhone and then buy an already unlocked one, although I doubt you'll be able to save much or any money going this route certainly not likely to save enough to be worth the hassle.

I unlocked an O2 UK iPhone 4 for £15 so I could use my orange sim... Can't believe they want £30!

Starting to go off orange!!

Thats the cheapest and safest option IMO.

Yes with 02 its £15 to Pay as You Go Customers and Free to Contract Customers.
