Unlock iPhone 5 for Switzerland Use

I have a couple questions about unlocking the iPhone 5 (6.1.4):

Will an IMEI unlock free my phone for use with any Switzerland carrier?
What is the best service to do this, assuming I cannot do it myself.
Does this process void my warranty or is it illegal in any way?

If you happen to be with Verizon your iPhone 5 comes unlocked and can be used anywhere you get a local SIM, the only thing is that LTE might not be availalbe.
