Hi everyone, I need to ask a question.
I live in Europe and recently brought my second iPhone the first was brought in the US and it was a 3G which I was able to unlock and is presently running on OS 4.0, and I am very happy with it, the thing is I recently brought my second iPhone which is unlock out of the box and is a iPhone 3GS running on 4.0.2 and baseband 05.13.04 and the version is 8A400 now what I would like to know is how can I add Cydia on an unlock iPhone which is out of the box (unlock) I tried to use Redsnow but my phone is not rebooting to where Redsnow will upload my ramdisk.
I would appreciate any help that you can give me to this matter

Jailbreak and unlock are not the same thing. To add cydia you need to jailbreak the phone which you can't because it's on 4.0.2 which there is no jailbreak for. You need to first check to see if the device SHSH has been saved to cydia's server as some point in hope of a possible downgrade of the firmware.

can i use tiny to downgrade to 4.0.1?

No, you cannot JB a 3GS on 4.0.2 and you cannot downgrade it either if you dont have shsh's for previous firmware saved.
All you can do is wait for the 4.1 JB to be out.

thanks so much for yr time i guess i have to wait till the next JB is out at he moment my wife is enjoying my first JB 3G phone :D

If your phone is already unlocked, why do you want to jailbreak? I only jailbreak my phone so I can have the option to unlock when I travel overseas.
