Is it possible to do an unlock of my AT&T iPhone 3Gs. I have iOS 4.3.5 (8L1) and Modem Firmware 05.16.02. I'm a total noob on this, I just want to get this phone to work on TMobile for my dad.

Thanks for any help...

Your only option to unlock this phone is to install Ipad baseband 06.15 onto it. However, once you do this, you will kill GPS capability on this phone.

Redmondpie.com and iclarified.com have all tutorial on how to jailbreak/unlock your phone.

Does that mean his Location Services will not work? so Foursquare and checking in etc. will be disabled? Is there a Gevey sim card or something similar that will work and still keep these functions?

Is there any kind of sim card device similar to the Gevey that works for the iPhone 3Gs. Or some other physical method?
