Carrier Unlock Problem

Hi , I recently purchased an iphone 4s 16GB supposedly "factory unlocked". The iphone was used with cricket chip by the previous owner.Well.... , i want use the iphone in Chile(my country), but the iphone show me the the typical message "Invalid sim", In U.S.A the iphone work with all GSM (I suppose , Cricket work with unlocked phones) , Any solution?

Sounds like the phone is not factory unlocked.
I'd contact the buyer to see if he can resolve it or send you a refund.
