No. Even if the hardware would work, VZW has to have your phone in their system as they don't use sims. They want you to buy the phone from them so they won't add it.

Verizon does use SIMs these days since they're LTE. Officially they don't allow non-Verizon devices, but I have heard of someone using an AT&T iPad Air (which does have the CDMA bands enabled) on Verizon
 
I am using a Verizon 5s on ATT, I don't know about the other way around. I suppose it would work. Verizon iPhones do have sim cards.
