Unlocked AT&T iPhone 6?

How can I tell if my iPhone 6 is unlocked? I put my wife's sim card in my phone in order to transfer it to her, and when I set it up with iTunes I received a message that read "Your iPhone has been successfully unlocked" (or close to that). Does that mean it is officially unlocked? I paid full price for the phone.

My AT&T iPhone 5S was unlocked from the carrier and that is the exact message that I received once I restored the device. It is unlocked!
