We live in an area where there are no GSM towers. There is maybe two at most.

That said, I would like to get a used iPhone instead of buying one directly from Straight Talk and use it on their CDMA network. Is this even possible? The SIM card won't matter because it won't be LTE anyway, just EVDO as I understand.

I guess for what its worth, it wouldn't matter whether it was Sprint or Verizon, but Verizon iPhones would be more abundant where I live.
