I have cingular and a crappy samsung phone but I'm seeing these unlocked LG chocolates on ebay and it says that they will work with cingular however these phones don't take sim cards. One of my friends was trying to explain that you can take it into a cingular store and they can program it for you. Is this true? How will I get my contacts onto the new phone? Will they charge me for it? I basically didn't want to pay the upgrade price for cingular and found a phone that I like on ebay. By the way someone told me that LG's have a problem with bluetooth (it isn't compatible with any phones but LG's) so I was wondering if anyone can confirm.

Also wondering because there are certain chocolate LG's that will work with cingulars 850 band (i guess that's what they call it) and I'm curious as to how I can figure out if the cell phone would be compatible in my area.

If they do not use SIM cards then they cannot be used on Cingular because the hardware is different. if they are really unlocked and use sim cards then you will have no problem
