Hi. I've been trying to set up my old 3G (not 3GS) with a Tesco PayGo SIM, and although it has signal etc. when connected to iTunes, the (iTunes) status bar keeps displaying a 'contacting server' message (displays for 2 secs, off, repeat) and won't allow management of the iPhone.
No such problem with the original O2 sim (displays msg once and that's it).

Should be unlocked (after all, it accepts the sim in the first place. - What does a sim rejection look like on an iPhone?) although it is a (Apple store) replacement for the original which had a faulty display.

Have re-submitted the unlock request through O2's online form, but no text or reply. Perhaps b'cos it's already unlocked? Well out of contract, so unlock is free etc.

Ideas?
