Advice on 2 issues please:

1. I've gotten into the habit of upgrading iPhones every 2 years. This year is year 2 with my iPhone7, so I'll be upgrading. I wonder if it pays to use Apple financing. In the past, I paid for the phone outright. But I'd prefer to spread payment over time. I can easily do that with my Barclay Apple Card with no interest, but I'm wondering if there's an advantage to using the Apple financing. Or is the only advantage of Apple financing being able to upgrade every year, something I'm not interested in.

2. There's been discussion of purchasing completely unlocked for all bands. I've opted for this in past years and waited the extra month or so for that version to become available. I'm wondering it it really matters, at least in my case. My rationale for getting completely unlocked is so I can use the phone most anywhere in the world with a local SIM. Truth be told, I've only traveled to countries where GSM and CDMA are both available. In light of that, is there any point to waiting?

Thanks!
