My sister has been having issues with her iphone 3g the past few weeks. When she goes to open apps, it will crash and restart itself. Once it restarts it shows the battery is nearly dead (even though it was reading full before the crash). She went to AT&T and they told her to upgrade to the newest software version 4.2 and it still happens. She brought it over and we did a restore but it is still happening. Has this happened to anyone and if so, was there a way to fix it? I know she is close to throwing it up against the wall.

Thanks

Something in the iPhone's backup is causing the issue. Restore the iPhone again and set it up as new. Should fix the issue.

I meant to say it's a locked 3G. So by starting new, does that mean she will lose everything since she won't be restoring from a back up?
