Unlocked Iphone 4S Some Questions!

Hello,
i am in the US right now(actually i am from Germany) and I would buy the iPhone 4S 32 GB here when it comes out next month. Now i have some questions:
-Does the unlocked iPhone work in Germany too?
-Do I get a prepaid Micro SIM card here for using it until i will leave the US?
-Is there any date when the unlocked iPhone could be released?

If it's unlocked it will work on any GSM network.

Go buy a off contract AT&T phone now. It looks like they are unlocked already.
