If this has been answered before, I apologize.

Basically I bought an iPhone 6 Plus @ the Apple Store for full price and I have used it with t-mobile for a while.

I am trying to sell it to get a different model w/ more memory.

Is the phone unlocked? Do i need to call to get it unlocked?

Thanks in advance...

Yes, all at&t, Verizon or T-Mobile models bought at full price device only from Apple Store are fully unlocked. You should try a different SIM card to be sure.

the only thing you need to be concerned about is sprint or verizon

with sprint, and all of its prepaid carriers it will probably not work

with Verizon it will work. but its not official (I'm only talking about 6 and 6+ not not 2g,3g,3gs,4,4s,5,5c,5s)

it basically goes like this, you walk into a Verizon store or go to Verizon to sign up and bring that iPhone to them , they will say its impossible

apple turned the cdma radio on

so as far as Verizon goes, if you activate a sim card in ANOTHER handset and then put that into the iPhone 6 or 6+, technically it will work, but its a hack and Verizon might get mad at you, but it is technically possible

Yes, the TMobile iPhone6/6+ are factory carrier unlocked. So are the Verizon iPhone6/6+.

No, it is not a hack and no, Verizon will not get "mad" at you. Verizon will not activate a non-Verizon phone on their network but if you have an already activated nano SIM card on your line you can put it in an AT&T or TMobile iPhone6/6+ and it will work fine.

Verizon is required to allow you to use non-Verizon 4G LTE phones on their network if they are CDMA enabled, which the iPhone6/6+ are.

Sorry one last question. When we put the Tmobile SIM in it didn't lock the phone did it ??

Thanks again.

you are probably correct. that if you put an activated sim card from a verizon iPhone into a regular iPhone 6 and verizon won't get mad. . but at the time i was not willing to bet $120 or whatever was left of my Early Termination Fee on it. so i decided to keep the iPhone 6 in a box, and use my iPhone 5 until my ETF was over. i was planning on selling my iPhone 5 on launch day! but there was no way to transfer a line of service to the iPhone 6+ based on its MEID so i decided it was better to be safe then sorry

Verizon doesn't really care if you pay your bill on time. Why would they stick you with etf if you're on contract and pay as they tell you? No one will will get mad..... Give it a try, sell your iPhone5 while it still worth something.
