unlocked iphone cellular network failure

Not to long ago i unlocked my 2.1 iphone , but for somereason i cannot connect to my internet unless its wifi . Is there anything i need to do to the settings? i have an internet plan with t-mobile and it worked fine on my 1.1.4 software. :confused:
 
For those of you that are also having this problem.you have to go settings>general>network>apn and change the description to " wap.voicestream.com "
