Hello all,
Hope you can help me figure out which provider might be the best deal for me.
First up, I have an unlocked iPhone 4, originally provided by O2 in the UK. I now work in the US, but only for another 18 months or so; so I'm keen to avoid 2 year contracts and the like, as I don't want to be stung for huge penalties when work moves me around the world again.
I currently have a pre-pay deal with T-Mobile. $50 unlimited everything plus $10 for unlimited international landline calls and SMS. They've offered me a 15% military discount if I convert to a monthly contract. Trouble is, of course, being an iPhone on T-Mobile I only have EDGE data speeds.
Can anyone recommend a carrier that offers a SIM-only deal that's as good as T-Mobile (the international stuff is essential), but includes 3G and preferably tethering as well? I've looked at Straight Talk and ironically can't get a straight answer, especially with regard to tethering. I definitely do not want to jailbreak.
Secondly, my wife's looking for a new iPhone 4 (just an 8Gb model); who is currently doing the best deals on those? She's a light user but a company with an international add-on wold be really helpful.
Sorry to ask such boring questions but I'm finding the minefield of US carriers difficult to navigate!
