Unlocked iphone usage on itunes

I just want some clarification on unlocked/jailbroken i phones.If I go to i tunes with my unlocked i phone will it automatically brick up.The updates only come through i tunes is there a prompt to accept or decline the update?I just don't want to accidentally brick my i phone.

No danger of that happening. In iTunes, when prompted to update a phone, you will be given the option of canceling the update.
