Unlocked iPhone Won't Sync

I have an unlocked 1st gen iPhone (1.1.3) which worked a treat with OS10.4 and 7.6.1 iTunes.

I just upgraded to Leopard, making sure to keep 7.6.1 iTunes. But now iTunes won't recognise my iPhone. Attaching it to the computer only charges it.

Any help with this would be amazing.
