Hello,

I have a friend who recently purchased a 1st gen iPhone from someone that had it unlocked and jailbroken with firmware 1.1.4.

I'm looking to find out what steps we need to take to clean it out and start fresh with 2.0.2 ( and then eventually jailbreak )

I just wanna make sure we do everything correctly so that we don't accidentally brick the phone in the process...

anyone know how we would accomplish this??

Thanks!

I had a jailbroken 1.1.4 iPhone (not unlocked as AT&T is my carrier) and had no issues updating it to 2.0.0 (and then .01 and .02) via iTunes. I have not subsequently jailbroken the phone because the App Store takes care of my needs.
