Apple has clarified it's web page about the 5s. There is a CDMA version 1533 and a GSM version 1533. The unlocked T-Mobile iphone 5s will not work on Verizon because it will not have CDMA.

From Apple:
The unlocked iPhone includes all the features of iPhone but without a wireless contract commitment. You can activate and use the unlocked iPhone on the supported GSM wireless network of your choice, such as AT&T or T-Mobile in the United States. The unlocked iPhone will not work with CDMA-based carriers, including Sprint and Verizon Wireless.

It probably works the other way around though.

The Verizon 5s will be gsm unlocked and carries the antenna for both att and Tmobile lte.

That's prob the ideal model as you have the option of using it on Verizon or the other 2.

It doesn't actually say that.

The CDMA carriers in North America don't allow you to bring your own phone to them, so even if you have a phone like the iPhone 4S which should work with a network like Verizon, they won't let you do it.

It's a policy thing.

I brought used phones to my Sprint account all the time. Sprint just won't carrier unlock the SIM. IMO, they are the worst carrier in the US.

Cheers,

It clearly does say that in the specs in the link I provided. The gsm version does NOT have any cdma bands.

Model A1533 (GSM)*: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 13, 17, 19, 20, 25)

Wait, you're saying that you got Sprint to import the ESN from a used phone from a different US CDMA carrier (like Verizon, C-Spire, etc)?

From what I've read, the Verizon model WILL work with Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, 3G and LTE.

Is that correct? If so, the value of a used Verizon 5C and 5S will be higher than previous models!

Not sure about resale value cause people will buy iPhone that's compatible with their network and the "cheapest" one. Not many people have both verizon and att/tmobile combination.

I use both verizon and att so that Verizon iPhone 5S would appeal to users like me. But again not many have 2 carriers.

Verizon 5S does have universal LTE bands for tmobile att and verizon. Of course it won't work on Sprint.

The AT&T and tmobile iPhone 5s will work on Verizon's lte network. It will have CDMA hard off though I believe
