unlocked US phone in Canada

Will it work? I'm thinking of buying an iPhone 5 or 4S. Was thinking of buying the 5S from Apple but looking at the prices for the Canadian Apple store...nope. Ain't happening lol.

So help me out! I'm just looking on craigslist and ebay!

If you know it's unlocked then the best way would be to look at what cellular bands the phone has on Apple's specs page and then compare it to the cellular bands of the carrier you want to use it on to make sure it will work.

The general unlocked GSM model (used for AT&T in the states) will work on Bell, Telus, Rogers and Fido in Canada.
