Unlocked Verizon Iphone 5 GSM 4G?

I was thinking to order the Iphone 5 Device only from Verizon online, but I was told by the online rep that the Verizon version will not work on a 4G GSM network.

Tamara: iPhone 5 is unlocked for 3G GSM networks” means networks like AT&T. Although Verizon does not guarantee performance on networks other than verizon. Sprint and Verizon are CDMA networks. AT&T and T-Mobile are GSM networks.

You: So the Verizon version will not work on a GSM 4g network?

Tamara: That is correct.

A Verizon iPhone 5 will NOT work on AT&T LTE, but will work on their HSPA+ or whatever they call it.

T-Mobile has 1900 MHz in some metro areas. IDK if the Verizon iPhone 5 will work though it works in that same band. I don't live in such area. I have a VZW iPhone 5 on T-Mobile though.
