Hi all. I'm currently interested in switching from AT&T to T-Mobile. After the announcements today, I figured I could buy the unlocked (or TMO) iPhone 6 64GB for the $749 price and use it on AT&T until I actually switch. However, I thought of a different way via upgrading then switching. If I upgrade my AT&T line to the new iP6 (from a mid-cycle 5), it will cost $549, but it will be locked to AT&T. However, if T-Mobile goes ahead and pays my ETF, it shouldn't really matter if I just signed a new 2-year contract or not, should it? Just wanted to see what people thought about this method and possibly saving a good chunk of change. Thanks!
