So I paid full price for my iPhone XS Max from BestBuy 2 months ago but activated it on Verizon I’m assuming it’s unlocked so I can use the eSIM anywhere I want? I paid a little over $1300 for it.

An easy way to check is to download the My Truphone app. If you are able to open the app fully it is unlocked. If you get the message of 'Device locked or doesn't support eSim' then it is locked.
