I've got an iPhone 4s locked to verizon, I want to use my att sims on it. I can find my way to unlocking it using gpp/gevey but my question is if it will still have 4g or is it limited to edge/3G?
It'll be 3G; the 4S doesn't support LTE.
Can a Verizon/CDMA 4S even be unlocked domestically (or just internationally)?
Sounds like the OP won't really be able to use it with AT&T anyway then.Verizon 4S can only be used internationally once unlocked -- No support for Domestic GSM networks PERIOD

This is wrong. You can hack this using a GPP Sim adapter. Just buy one off http://www.gppsimusa.com/shop/
Not wrong, you are welcome to try "Chip" methods which are not reliable and end up spending money each time you want to upgrade iOS.
The information is 100% correct because your "Chip" method does not provide Factory Unlocking of the iPhone.
What network are you trying to use it on?
AT&T and Tmobile call their hpsa+ 4G.
Its not LTE but a faster 3G version.
Okay I know that it's not a factory unlock but if the user really needed to use his Verizon iPhone 4s on AT&T, this would be the way to do it on a pinch. And it works.
My question is if I'll have access to hpsa on an iPhone 4s that's locked with Verizon, if I unlock it with the chip and enter my Att sim.

I do need to use my verzon iPhone 4s on att.
The chip can unlock it but will it have it's 4g data?
