Hey guys :)

One of my friends updated her iPhone software to 4.1, and lost her unlock. I no longer have a 3Gs to check which version of the baseband firmware she has. Does anyone know which version comes with 4.1?

Anyways, she asked me to unlock it for her and I was wondering if jailbreaking it for her would get rid of the insert a valid SIM message? If not how would I go about jailbreaking her device?

Updating to 4.1 also updates the baseband to 5.14. Currently, there's no unlock for 5.14. And, unlike firmware, baseband cant be downgrade. So, answer is NO.

I've read that fuzzyband downgrader can downgrade this to 5.13. Would that work?

Fuzzyband only works for first few IPhone 3G. Apple fix that exploit with later 3G and devices after that.
