I've just ordered a new sim only contract for my iPhone 3GS but it's on a different network (my phone is on o2 and the new sim is from Three). Can anyone point me to some instructions on how to unlock my iPhone 3GS without having to pay o2 £15?

Thanks

Software Unlock

There isn't a hardware unlock but a software unlock. You have to do it all through the computer. Just search youtube and it will show you how.

I know that :) I can't watch youtube videos thanks to highly rubbish internet at home so only have my internet at work to download the required files which is why I was hoping someone could direct me to some instructions :)

compared to the ordeals you'll go through w/ Ultrasn0w £15 is nothing.

Agreed, just pay the £15. People over here were dying to pay $175 to get their phone unlocked.

Thanks. Think I will be paying the £15 but might see if my insurance will replace my phone first due to the issues in my thread here.
