I would like to know if it is possible to unlock my iphone 4 with baseband 04.10.01. I have been using a gevey sim but i would like to do an untethered software unlock. Is it possible and if it is kindly provide me with the links to the best software i can use and the step by step instructions of what to do. I would also like to know if jailbreaking a phone unlocks it.

There are no software unlocks for that baseband.
Jail breaking doesn't unlock the phone, it just allows you to run whatever software you want even if it isn't in the app store. It is required for software unlocks, but you would need a lower baseband which you can't get to.

I have an iphone 4 with 4.10.01 baseband and it's unlocked. Of course I purchased it factory unlocked from apple in the u.s.a. Gonna have to spend the big bucks to get this model. Perhaps selling old locked models would help?
