Unlocking an iPhone 5s on UK EE Network

My fiancee is getting an upgrade on her current EE contract but instead of keeping the handset she is giving it to me, problem is I'm not with EE but with 3.
I haven't yet got the phone but currently looking to get it unlocked when I do. Are there any trusted sites or ebay sellers that can do an IMEI unlock for EE network? Many thanks!

could just contact EE direct I've just unlocked my 5 with them cost £20 was unlocked in a couple days

Checked their unlocking policy online and it says I need to have had the handset for 6 months before I can get an unlock from them :/

Doesn't have it yet. They were out of stock in Space Grey so need to wait a few days

Unfortunately, that's your answer. Try calling them and asking anyway.

With my iphone 4 I paid £15 to get unlatched! Surely it must be allowed by now?

It's a hit and miss with ee

Here are some steps u can take to maximise your chances

When your gf gets her 5s- tell her to put her sim inside. Make a couple calls and texts. Receive a few too

Then try add the phone to her account. Can do this online.

Wait a day or so. Then fill in the unlocking form on the ee website. Just state iphone 5, not 5s

If they proceed- it will take 5-20 days and cost £20
