Hi there, just bought an iPhone 3G (not the 3GS) second hand and it's locked to O2. Need it on Vodafone for the wife.
Have been to the O2 unlock your iphone website and as I have an O2 pay monthly account with them I put in my phone number and the IMEI number. It says they will text me in 14 days.
Will they then just say phone has been unlocked or do I need to have my O2 SIM in the 3G for this to work? Only problem with that is that I have the iPhone 4 and it uses a Micro SIM and not the full size one that the 3G uses.
It is on Firmware 4.2.1 and Modem is 05.15.04 so is that easy enough to unlock anyway via jailbreaking?
Cheers for any advice.
