unlocking iPhone 4 O2?

hello folks hope everyone is alright! need a little help! bought an iPhone 4 locked to O2. can anyone tell me how can i get it factory unlocked via O2 ppl? i know they can remotely unlock the iPhones. what if i buy a prepaid sim of O2 and then call the customer service with sim in iPhone 4 and ask them to do that for me? looking forward for the help thanx

When you buy a new iPhone, it either comes factory unlocked or it doesn't.

i know if you buy an iPhone from Apple store its unlocked!but in my case i bought it used one! so its locked to O2!

Why dont you call O2 and find out if they will unlock it for you and what you need to do.
Every carrier has different policies so a 5 minute call to their customer service line will get you what you need.

O2 will unlock the phone for you, but you'll need to have an O2 Pay As You Go SIM and pay a £15 fee (taken from the credit on the SIM)
