I have a iPhone 4 with the newest firmware is it possible to unlock it? Also, coming from previous experience with my jailbrokeniPhone 2g, unlocking makes a big hassle when it comes to updating firmware, including having to wipe everyhing off the phone. Does this problem still exist? Right now I am pretty happy with the way it is, but it surely would be nice to have the option to customize furher and use cydia apps.

No jailbreak/unlock available for 4.1
Not currently known if there ever will be (unlock that is) even through usually there is
If you update/restore you will have to jailbreak and unlock once again
