I have the GM ios8 and Yosemite with the latest iTunes 12 and I got Att to unlock my phone but I need to do a restore and iTunes just doesn't do it. Does anyone else have this problem?

You should be able to remove your sim, put in any other sim, plug it into iTunes and get the Congrats message, your phone is unlocked. A restore was never really a necessity.
Plugging into iTunes isnt necessary either. Insert other carrier sim and let the iPhone activate. Done.
I don't actually have another sim, I Unlocked it as a preemptive before ordering my iPhone6. But I realized Im an idiot and remembered I had to control click restore and pick my gm update since iTunes doesn't dl it automatically right now.
