After I got my Apple Watch, I started setting it up and learning. The learning curve wasn’t very steep; Macrumors and Google solved most of the problems.

The one issue I had was that a password was always required to download anything on my watch, even free apps, which was annoying, b/c a) it’s a tiny screen, b) I’m wearing it on my left wrist and I am left handed and c) I have arthritis fumble fingers.

Made sure that password requirement to purchase/download was turned off on all devices (phone, watch, Macs)

Still required password, but the end is in sight. If my phone was unlocked, I didn’t need to provide the password. So, allowing the Apple Watch to unlock my phone (if the watch is on my wrist, which it is unless charging) allows my watch to download without the requirement to enter a password.

Also made sure that in the Apple Watch app on my iPhone had the same passcode settings that I wanted.

Turned my Macs, iPadPro, iPhone and Apple Watch off after signing off of iCloud one by one. I then turned them back on one by one and signing into iCloud one by one. It now works without me needing to use passcode or password.

If this is already well known, apologies. It helps me, b/c of the way I grocery shop.
