Carrier unlocking the 3GS

Hey guys,

a friend of mine swapped his samsung for a Iphone 3GS,

funny thing is he didn't checked it and trusted the seller.

Now he has a AT&T locked Iphone 3GS, not able to use it in belgium afcourse.

Since the age of this device i'm pretty sure the AT&T contract ( I think max 24months) is already over, so how do we unlock this thing the cheapest way?

Good luck. AT&T has gotten on the kick of not unlocking devices unless you had or have an account with them. Unless you are able to provide account information, they're not going to address your request.

Your best bet is ebay.

They unlocked my 3GS that I bought in Craigslist a year ago. It took about two months for them to get to it but I still have it. I was using AT&T at the time and switched to T-Mobile as soon as it was unlocked.
