Unpair Watch before installing iOS 9 public beta

I have a Watch on watchOS 1.01, and I want to put iOS 9 public beta on my iPhone. Do I need to unpair my watch first, then re-pair it again after iOS 9PB is installed?

Or should I just play fast and loose and install the PB on my phone without unpairing first?

I didn't unpair mine and now that I have iOS9 on iPhone 6+, my  Watch still on 1.0.1 communicates well with iPhone

My Watch seemed to get automatically unpaired when I updated and I had to restore from back up. Although that might be because the first update attempt failed and iTunes forced me to restore back to 8.4.

I updated to iOs 9PB iphone 6+, watch still 1.0.1 no issues so far, everything on the watch seems normal.
